Question:
HOW IS THE SIDING ATTACHED?
Answer:
With 2" galvanized roofing nails or 1 3/4" staples.

Question:
DOES THE COLOR GO ALL THE WAY THROUGH?
Answer:
Yes, but only the top 25% called the top cap contains the important chemicals like titanium dioxide which prevents sun fade, chalking and other color distortions caused from the weather.

Question:
CAN I ALSO COVER MY WINDOW AND DOOR FRAMES?
Answer:
Yes. Residential Exteriors includes a custom trim package for your window and door frames with every job.

Question:
WILL IT CRACK WHEN IT GETS COLD?
Answer:
It's possible if the siding takes a severe impact. However high quality and heavier gauge siding makes a difference on impact resistance.

Question:
WHY DO I SEE WARPED SIDING ON SOME HOUSES?
Answer:
Primarily it's poor installation; however heavier gauge siding has a much lower tendency to warp in severe heat.

Question:
HOW DO YOU LEVEL OUT THE EXISTING SIDING BEFORE INSTALLING NEW SIDING?
Answer:
It can be done with furring strips or fan-fold insulation. We recommend the insulation because it provides an increase in "R" value which can help with energy savings.

Question:
HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL JOB TAKE?
Answer:
Generally most jobs take about one week.

Question:
DO YOU REPLACE ROTTEN WOOD?
Answer:
Yes. It's important to replace any rotten wood so the new siding is installed on a solid surface.

Question:
ARE THE TRIM AND SIDING AVAILABLE IN THE SAME COLORS?
Answer:
Yes and the trim is also available in a few specialty colors as well.

Question:
WHAT ABOUT MY OUTSIDE LIGHTS, RECEPTACLES, AND WATER FAUCETS?
Answer:
We install specially designed water proof "mount blocks" for lights and receptacles and a "split" design for water faucets.

Question:
HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED TO CLEAN MY SIDING?
Answer:
It varies from location to location, but about once every few years is usually plenty.

Question:
IF MY SIDING IS DAMAGED CAN IT BE REPLACED?
Answer:
Yes. This is another reason to use quality brand named siding so if this does happen the material will be available.

Question:
ARE YOU FULLY INSURED?
Answer:
Yes. We carry $500,000 liability and worker's compensation. Don't let anyone work on your house if they don't have both. Otherwise you can be held liable if an accident was to happen.
